I was born 1969 in Stockholm, Sweden. Since the late 90's I live and work in Århus, Denmark. My approach to visual arts, started through my fascination of traditional Chinese architecture. I was inspired by its fundamental ideas - the structure of subordinate units and  the principles of balance and symmetry.

I am a painter and a sculptor, but primarily I work with drawing. To draw is to aimlessly roam around; I have a good feeling for loafing. I work intuitively; it is easy for me to let my hand and fantasy flow. On the other side, my work is about a persistent urge to construct and create images within certain limits - without losing the intensity - to expose the necessity of the restraints. From these positions, my sincerity and strength come about. The intuitive alone, is not enough.

My drawings refer to cartooning as much as to the tradition of abstract expressionism. Stringency and sharpness, the distinctive marks towards the fragile lines, continues to inspire me. The white sheet of paper is the stage; the black ink is the actor, doubting and energetic at the same time.
